Your expertise is vital in shaping policies and initiatives that address both the challenges faced by counselors and the evolving needs of those we serve. NBCC PARC invites you to participate in a series of important surveys designed to gather valuable insights from experienced counselors like yourself.
Many of these surveys include an opt-out option if a particular area does not align with your expertise, allowing you to contribute where you are most knowledgeable while still participating in the broader effort. Your input is essential to ensuring that our profession remains strong, well-informed, and strategically positioned to advocate for its future.
These surveys focus on a wide range of topics including:
Artificial Intelligence Regulatory Issues
Black Maternal Mental Health
Counselor Student Training
Eating Disorders and Mental Health
Global Counseling Practices
Mental Health Needs by Race and Ethnicity
Military Mental Health
Psychedelics and Regulations
Telehealth
The survey topics are carefully selected in collaboration with policy experts and seasoned professionals, to better understand the knowledge areas vital to advancing and supporting the counseling profession.
We deeply appreciate your time and insight in helping us protect and promote the vital work of counselors everywhere.

Help Us Learn About Your Experiences in Choosing not to Enroll in Medicare!
Licensed counselors became eligible for reimbursement through the Medicare program in January of 2024. Since that time, more than 50,000 licensed counselors have joined the Medicare program. PARC has partnered with a team of researchers from Virginia Tech hoping to learn more about counselors who have decided against enrolling as Medicare providers at this time or are uncertain about whether to enroll.
If you are independently licensed as a counselor and eligible to enroll in Medicare but have chosen NOT to enroll or are undecided about whether to enroll, we invite you to complete a brief (~20 minutes) survey about your experiences and perspectives.
